Arrest Warrant Investigations I -

During his time in law enforcement, Darin Logue has worked with a multitude of agencies throughout the Midwest in both a narcotics and special operations capacity.

During his tenure, Logue observed departments who were inundated by back logged arrest warrants that were being over looked or swept under the rug as "low priority".

Administrators would fault lack of funding, manpower and minimal resources as excuses for allowing these criminals to remain on the run, despite the fact they had already been charged with a crime.

With offenders operating recklessly in the streets with no active enforcement pursuing them, Logue believed that the term "arrest" had lost its meaning.

As part of an eight year crusade, Logue researched the arrest warrant topic and produced some startling raw data.

*    There is currently "no" formal training at the basic police recruit level regarding the topic of arrest warrants or the bond process.

*    Missouri ranks as one of the top states in the nation with respect to outstanding warrants.

*    Few fugitives are hunted, and most states do not screen for criminal warrants before handing out licenses, hunting permits, or various State aid.

*    A 2001 state audit exposed approximately 728,000 outstanding warrants in the state of Missouri and determined system improvements were needed.

*    When fugitives are found in other states, the arresting jurisdiction routinely refuses to pick them up - including those wanted for violent crimes.

*    It is estimated that More than $76 million dollars could be collected from court costs, fees and fines if department served and adjudicated all current outstanding warrants in Missouri.

As a result of these findings, Logue developed the first of its kind training seminar, geared to better educate law enforcement officials to track and remove these criminals who have become a spreading virus across the country.

This exclusive seminar will educate both new and veteran officers in:

*    Legal issues involving arrests with a warrant.

*    Where does 4th Amendment search and seizure fall with arrest warrants?

*    What does, "I hereby Command Any Peace Officer In The State of ________", really mean?

*    Networking and using resources to locate your fugitive, prior to leaving the office.

*    Target selection and maintaining an accurate and professional warrant file.

*    Why obtaining and attaching a clear and accurate photo to "EVERY" arrest warrant is crucial.

*    Plain clothed versus Uniform

*    4 Hours of practical/hands-on – scenario based training.

4,8,16 Hour Block(s) - POST Credit

Drug Identification & Investigation for Front Line Officers- This seminar is divided into several modules. Each section will cover descriptions of the drug itself, slang terminology, associated paraphernalia and resources for in depth investigation.

In addition, officers will cover hands on practical in the areas of field testing and other narcotics related applications.

8,16 Hour Block(s) - POST Credit

Jail Management - The course is for administrators and officers who must continually wrestle with the problems of conflicting priorities, limited funds, deficient facilities, and a limited, often ill-trained staff; he/she must find ways to develop the jail as a progressive institution sensitive to the community's needs. The primary mission of a jail is to protect the public and institutional safety and deliver a Constitutional level of care then the management structure, written policy, training, and supervision should facilitate those goals.

8 Hour Block - POST Credit

Pepper Spray for Personal Defense - Used properly by a trained person, this food product is an excellent option when a firearm is not available or appropriate. Pepper spray is not restricted in Missouri and can be purchased without a permit or special license. However, like using any tool or defensive countermeasure, training is an intelligent choice.

Pepper is a logical choice for:

  • High school

  • Collegiate

  • Professional women on campuses or in hospitals

  • Businesses

  • Churches where firearms are still not allowed

At the end of class, each student will be given a canister of live agent to take with them.

Students will also receive a certificate documenting their training upon completion.

We offer our services on nights & weekends and provide free enrollment for individuals hosting a class. A minimum of (4) four people is needed to host a class.

Do yourself a huge favor and invest in the safety and security of yourself and everyone you care about.

This seminar is geared towards *non* law enforcement individuals and does not provide CEU's!!

Note: Participants are not required to be sprayed or exposed to the agent for successful completion of the course.
